Job description

Role overview

This position supports a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in delivering health, beauty, and convenience services to the community, with the customer experience at the centre of day-to-day operations.

Summary

The Front Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing customer service activities, including cash handling, cashier operations, and merchandising support.

Human resources

  • Make sure cashier and merchandising team members follow store policies and operating procedures.
  • Provide training to cashiers and merchandisers on their assigned tasks.
  • Offer continuous direction, support, and on-the-job coaching.

Loss prevention

  • Help ensure loss prevention measures are in place and followed.
  • Manage daily cash office inventory, cashier tracking, tracking sheets, and PC Optimum processes.

Customer service

  • Ensure employees maintain a professional appearance and follow the uniform policy.
  • Handle customer questions about product locations, rainchecks, and related store information.
  • Resolve customer concerns in line with approved procedures, including refunds and exchanges.
  • Support promotion of the CSI Survey.

Merchandising

  • Keep shelving clean, orderly, and properly rotated.
  • Set up and remove product displays as directed by the AFSM or FSM.

General duties

  • Maintain store housekeeping and presentation standards.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements.
  • Complete clerical and banking tasks when needed.
  • Adhere to all store policies, procedures, and loss prevention requirements.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned, including cashier support when required.

Qualifications and working style
