Role Overview

This position is for a front-of-house team member at a franchised McAlister’s Deli location in Johnson City, Tennessee. The role may involve more than one guest-facing support function, depending on business needs.

Busser Duties

In the busser function, you will help keep the dining area ready for guests and maintain a clean, organized service environment.

• Set up the dining room for service by cleaning tables and chairs.
• Keep tables properly arranged by clearing used plates as guests finish.
• Stay attentive to spills, guest needs, and other in-dining-room requests.
• Support overall cleanliness by wiping furniture, sweeping floors, emptying trash, and cleaning spills.
• Follow sanitation and safety standards to help protect guests and the restaurant.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.

Food Runner Duties

In the food runner function, you will help ensure meals reach guests promptly and that tables remain supported after delivery.

• Bring food orders to guests in the dining room and confirm they have what they need.
• Refill beverages and handle guest requests after meals have been served.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures to help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other tasks requested by management.
