Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for a freelance sales associate focused on beauty services such as makeup application, skincare guidance, hair consultations, or fragrance consultations. The role blends artistic ability with technical know-how and a strong people-first approach to deliver an engaging, tailored in-store experience that informs, inspires, and leaves customers delighted.
What you will do
You will work closely with a high-performing team to help create strong in-store impact, including supporting events and ensuring the store maintains excellent visual merchandising standards so it stands out in the market.
This is a strong fit for a motivated self-starter who wants a progressive opportunity and the chance to begin a career in prestige beauty.
Experience and development
Formal makeup certification and prior retail makeup experience are preferred, but entry-level applicants are also encouraged to apply. Experience or interest in fragrance, skincare, and hair consultation is valued, and the employer is open to candidates who want to build skills in these areas. The company emphasizes diversity and provides training, development, and competitive pay to support growth and success.
Additional requirements
Applicants should be able to demonstrate authentic, inspiring, and personalized customer service. The role requires flexibility to work retail schedules, including daytime shifts, evening shifts, weekends, and special events in a busy environment. Previous use of retail point-of-sale systems is also expected. Candidates must be able to show proof of their legal right to live and work in New Zealand if selected for interview.
