Role Overview

The team is seeking a social-first copywriter to work with the editorial team on a freelance, part-time basis.

Core Responsibilities

This role centers on writing, editing, and partnering with the team on both organic and paid social copy. The work includes captions, supers where needed, reviewing creative assets when copy is provided, and keeping copy aligned with current product positioning and social strategy. The copywriter will also coordinate with the Editorial Director when content needs approval or when questions come up, and will support the paid and DTC teams with business-driven copy needs such as Demand Gen and PMAX ad copy.

Additional, one-off requests may also come up from time to time, including brainstorming sessions and product name ideation.

Milk Makeup is looking for someone who is creative, thoughtful, open-minded, and comfortable contributing in a fast-moving environment while keeping the brand’s larger goals in view.

Schedule and Availability

This is a part-time freelance opportunity based on team needs. Availability is expected Monday through Friday with a flexible hourly schedule, and occasional weekend support may be needed during busy captioning periods. The maximum commitment is 20 hours per week.

Additional Notes

Beauty experience is considered a strong advantage for this position.
