Job description
Overview
This project-based opportunity with Mindrift brings together subject-matter specialists and AI development work for major technology clients. The focus is on evaluating, testing, and refining AI systems rather than offering a permanent role. As a Junior Journalist AI Trainer, you will contribute text that helps models learn to produce clearer, more accurate, and more human-like responses.
What you will do
The work changes by project, but it typically includes creating original content, shaping prompts that push AI to perform better, and setting out detailed criteria to assess answer quality. You will also be expected to maintain consistency by following style, accuracy, and quality guidelines.
Candidate profile
The project suits people who are comfortable with non-permanent, part-time work and who can contribute in English at a strong professional level. Ideal candidates have a background in Journalism, Communications, Linguistics, Literature, or Education, together with at least one year of relevant professional experience in fields such as journalism, communications, or PR. Strong critical thinking, careful work with written English, and a reliable internet connection are also important.
Application notes
Please send your resume in English and include your English proficiency level.
How the process works
The typical flow is: apply, complete the qualification step(s), join a project, carry out tasks, and receive payment.
Time expectations
During active project periods, the expected workload is around 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not guaranteed. It applies only while a project is active.
Compensation
Contributors may earn up to the hourly equivalent of $30, depending on experience, contribution speed, and project requirements. Pay can differ from one project to another based on scope, complexity, and the expertise needed.
