Job description

Role overview

Sirona care & health is seeking a Freedom to Speak Up Guardian to act as a highly visible, trusted, and influential voice across the organisation. In this position, you will work alongside Directors, the Chief Executive Officer, and the Chair to help build a workplace culture where openness is encouraged and colleagues feel able to raise concerns safely and confidently. You will also establish and guide an active network of Freedom to Speak Up champions so that the message and support reach every team, service, and part of the organisation.

Key accountabilities

  • Create and run communication and engagement activity that raises awareness of the Freedom to Speak Up Guardian role among staff.
  • Advocate for local speak-up routes, support services, and guidance, while showing the positive difference that speaking up makes and recognising when concerns are raised.
  • Make sure all employees know where to find help and can access the support they need to speak up.
  • Recruit, train, and support a champion network so the Freedom to Speak Up approach is available across the organisation and staff can easily reach someone outside their direct management line for advice and support.
  • Ensure induction sessions cover freedom to speak up information and clearly explain the Guardian role.
