Fragrance Evaluator – Fine & Beauty

Role overview

Cosmo International Fragrances is expanding its footprint in the Middle East and is hiring a Fragrance Evaluator for its Dubai team. This role is centered on fine fragrance and beauty development for GCC markets, turning market intelligence, customer requirements, and consumer preferences into successful scent concepts.

In this position, you will work across creative, commercial, and technical functions to help develop fragrance solutions that are innovative, commercially relevant, and tailored to regional tastes. The role is both creative and strategic, with responsibility for guiding projects from concept through execution.

Key responsibilities

You will assess fragrance concepts against customer briefs, technical parameters, and regional market expectations, then help steer development toward the most promising directions. You will partner with evaluators and perfumers to provide olfactive guidance, references, and recommendations that improve fragrance performance.

The role also involves managing project flow internally, keeping priorities, timelines, and deliverables on track. You will monitor fragrance trends, consumer behavior, and competitor launches, while maintaining benchmark collections, market product libraries, and fragrance references.

In addition, you will coordinate with creation, marketing, applications, regulatory, sales, shipping, and other teams to support project success. You may also join customer meetings and presentations with the commercial team, and contribute fragrance insights that strengthen regional business strategy and inspire new concepts for clients.

Profile and experience

The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of experience in fragrance evaluation, preferably in fine fragrance. Prior exposure to customers and markets across the GCC, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman, will be considered a strong advantage.

You should have a solid grasp of Middle Eastern fragrance preferences and market trends, along with the ability to convert marketing ideas into viable olfactive directions. Strong communication, organization, and project management skills are important, as is a proactive, creative, and commercially minded approach.

Fluency in English and Arabic is required, while French would be an added advantage. A degree or master's qualification in Fragrance Creation, Chemistry, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
