Job description
Role Summary
This position involves leading the financial analysis for all Otis operations across the Middle East, overseeing local finance teams to consolidate business data, identify trends, and provide insightful analyses to support strategic business planning aligned with corporate policies and procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulating and executing strategic plans for the Finance Department that align with company goals.
- Evaluating the Finance Department's performance relative to budgets to pinpoint cost-saving and performance enhancement opportunities.
- Overseeing Finance Department workflows to uphold high standards, continuous improvement, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Contributing to workforce planning through workload forecasts and trend analysis.
- Fostering Otis's vision, mission, and cultural values among all Finance Department employees.
- Ensuring compliant and efficient implementation of Finance Department policies, procedures, and controls.
- Directing the preparation of financial analyses for management reports, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term strategic plans for all Middle East entities.
- Tracking key business metrics, analyzing variances, and recommending actions to assist management decision-making.
- Leading benchmarking, financial analyses, commentary development, and presentations for executive and regional reviews.
- Delivering comprehensive financial and business variance reports, planning updates, and project pipeline status to senior management.
- Managing the annual budgeting and strategic planning processes, consolidating entity submissions and communicating financial targets.
- Creating executive-level storyboards, business reviews, and updates related to forecasts, budgets, and strategic financial planning.
- Leading monthly and quarterly forecasting and reporting for all Middle East operations.
- Overseeing the development of complex financial models for consolidation, variance analysis, and scenario planning based on business drivers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline required.
- Master's degree in Finance/Accounting is highly desirable.
- Professional certification such as Chartered Certified Accountant (CCA) or equivalent preferred.
- At least ten years of experience in enterprise-level financial planning across multiple geographies.
- Proficient written and spoken English required; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
