Founding Head Brewer - New Craft Brewery Launch in Clearwater–St. Pete Area

About the Role

We are searching for a Founding Head Brewer to spearhead the launch of a new craft brewery located near Clearwater and St. Pete, Florida. This role demands a hands-on professional passionate about crafting high-quality beer and building the brewery from its inception.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in recipe creation, brewing processes, cellar duties, and quality assurance.
• Participate actively in production planning and setting operational standards and company culture.
• Handle tasks such as transferring beer to tanks, performing Clean-In-Place (CIP) cycles, moving kegs, managing raw materials, and ensuring smooth daily brewing operations.

Candidate Profile

• Proven professional brewing experience in production brewery settings.
• Comfortable working both in the brewhouse and cellar areas.
• Strong understanding of brewing science, quality control measures, and sanitation protocols.
• Physically capable of lifting 50-lb grain bags, moving kegs, operating forklifts, and undertaking necessary manual labor to maintain production flow.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to take initiative without constant direction.
• Enthusiastic about joining a new venture and contributing to building an operation from the ground up.
• Ability to start immediately to assist with imminent brewery launch.

Compensation

The starting salary is $90,000 per year, with potential increases depending on experience and qualifications.

This is an onsite, full-time opportunity located in Dunedin, FL. The role involves a broad scope of physical and operational tasks critical to opening and sustaining high-quality beer production.
