Job description

About Mixedbread

Mixedbread is dedicated to solving the limitations in contemporary AI systems caused by search inefficiencies. Our goal is to develop a revolutionary retrieval system that is multilingual, multimodal, and capable of delivering the most relevant context across diverse formats. We empower AI teams to create superior products without the need to rebuild the retrieval framework from the ground up.

Role Overview

Having recently launched a significant upgrade to our product and gaining customer traction, we seek a founding Go-To-Market (GTM) & Partnerships Lead to capitalize on this momentum and generate consistent growth. Positioned at the convergence of sales, GTM structures, partnerships, and customer development, you will collaborate directly with the founders to construct our external business engine. Responsibilities encompass developing pipeline strategies, refining our market messaging, strengthening customer and partner relationships, and ensuring that product launches convert into measurable success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee Mixedbread's GTM operations including CRM management, lead tracking, segmentation, maintaining pipeline health, executing campaigns, and simple reporting systems.
  • Assist in founder-led sales efforts by conducting research on target clients, organizing meetings, following up diligently, and advancing opportunities, pilots, and design partnership discussions.
  • Collaborate with founders to enhance Mixedbread’s positioning, messaging, and story across product launches, website content, presentations, outbound marketing, and partner resources.
  • Convert product updates, release notes, and technical documentation into coordinated distribution efforts via social media, email, outbound outreach, and partner channels.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage partnerships within the ecosystem to amplify Mixedbread's market presence, credibility, and sales pipeline.
  • Oversee significant customer relationships from initial engagement through onboarding to early success, working closely with founders and engineering teams.
  • Design and execute impactful growth initiatives such as technical events, workshops, dinners, and programs for design partners.
  • Gather and analyze customer and market feedback, synthesizing insights to inform product development, GTM strategies, and partnership approaches.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in startup environments, business operations, GTM strategies, partnerships, growth, product marketing, sales, or similar high autonomy roles.
  • A strong focus on execution with a hands-on approach to driving projects to completion rather than merely advisory involvement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and create structured processes where none exist.
  • Skill to multitask across GTM activities, partnerships, customer interactions, and founder support without losing focus.
  • Keen interest in technical products and capacity to collaborate with engineers, researchers, and technical decision-makers credibly.
  • Passion for nurturing customer relationships and leveraging feedback to impact product and GTM decisions.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience marketing or selling developer tools, AI products, or technical B2B software solutions.
  • Familiarity with building or managing CRM, sales, or marketing tools such as HubSpot, Airtable, or Notion to deliver tangible results.
  • Background supporting founder-led sales processes, partnership development, or designing partner programs.
  • Expertise in facilitating product demonstrations, pilots, events, or other innovative growth strategies.
  • Strong instincts for crafting and disseminating content that effectively communicates technical research and product launches externally.
  • Comfortable leveraging modern AI technologies for prototyping, research, and GTM workflows.
  • Experience closely working with founders or executive teams in small or scaling startup settings.
  • Aspirations to evolve into broader leadership roles within the company.

Benefits and Additional Information

  • Compensation package includes competitive salary and equity stake.
  • Comprehensive coverage including health, dental, and vision.
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
  • Budget dedicated to professional growth and development.
  • Access to leading AI tools and subscription services.
  • Team retreats, off-site activities, and conference opportunities.
  • Support for transportation needs.
  • Wellness benefits such as gym memberships and sports club affiliations.
  • Meal provisions to support team members.
