Role Overview

The Founding Country Lead based in Doha, Qatar, will spearhead the company’s local operations. This full-time, on-site leadership role will involve crafting and implementing a comprehensive country strategy, including market research, business planning, and fostering strategic local partnerships. The Country Lead will oversee daily operations, build and lead the local team, and ensure compliance with Qatari laws and company standards. They will represent the company externally, developing relationships with clients, government bodies, and strategic allies. Responsibility also includes budget management, performance monitoring, and reporting progress to global leadership while continuously seeking growth prospects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven track record in country leadership, general management, or launching new operations regionally or internationally.
• Strong expertise in strategic planning, business development, and stakeholder engagement to establish and nurture impactful partnerships.
• Experience with operational management, including team leadership, budgeting, process design, and performance evaluation.
• Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building; fluency in English required, Arabic language skills highly advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of Qatar’s business climate, local regulations, cultural nuances, and market conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, use data-driven decision making, and succeed in a fast-moving entrepreneurial setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, or related discipline; advanced degrees like an MBA considered a plus.
