Job description

About Pyxos

Pyxos is revolutionizing data privacy compliance by developing AI-driven agents that autonomously execute compliance workflows, such as maintaining records of processing activities, drafting impact assessments, managing data subject requests, and reviewing vendor contracts under human supervision. Unlike traditional platforms that only organize compliance tasks, Pyxos's AI-native solution directly performs them, addressing the complexity of over 140 global data privacy laws.

Originating from NEOM in Saudi Arabia, Pyxos currently operates in Saudi Arabia with plans to expand across the GCC, EU, UK, and US. The platform is live with an enterprise customer and eight pilot partners in the Saudi and UAE markets, guided by a panel of former regulators and data privacy experts. The company is led by experienced founders with a strong track record in technology startups and compliance.

Role Overview

The Founding Account Executive will be the pioneering sales presence in Saudi Arabia and the primary representative of Pyxos within the Kingdom. This role involves building a sales pipeline from the ground up, managing deals independently, and leveraging field insights to shape sales strategies, pricing, and product development. It demands educating prospects about Saudi's nascent Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), competing effectively with established global platforms, and engaging with buyers primarily within legal, compliance, and risk departments.

This position requires mostly in-person engagement to build trust and develop relationships, with strong support from existing Pyxos branding efforts, pilot programs, and pre-existing client relationships. The Account Executive will collaborate directly with founders initially and utilize an AI-enhanced outbound system to optimize sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales pipeline: source leads, qualify prospects, negotiate, and close contracts across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC without an SDR team.
  • Collaborate closely with company founders during initial sales phases and progressively take full ownership of sales motions.
  • Educate market participants on PDPL compliance, build urgency, and outperform established competitors selling legacy platforms.
  • Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers in legal, compliance, risk, IT, security, and procurement departments.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings extensively to establish trust before progressing deals.
  • Expand channel partnerships with systems integrators, consultancies, and law firms to enhance market reach.
  • Develop and document sales playbooks, including qualification criteria, objection handling, and sales stages based on field experiences.
  • Provide actionable market intelligence to product and leadership teams.
  • Represent Pyxos authoritatively at industry events, roundtables, and executive briefings on data privacy topics.

Required Qualifications

  • Saudi nationality is mandatory due to the need for market credibility and relationships.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of enterprise software sales experience within Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
  • 1 to 2 years selling AI-powered applications, with the ability to explain technology confidently and address concerns on trust and data accuracy.
  • Experience working at startups or small companies in a founding or early account executive capacity, comfortable with proactive pipeline building without structured support.
  • Demonstrated quota attainment with verifiable achievements and references.
  • Proven success in selling new-category products and winning against established competitors.
  • Experience engaging with buyers outside IT, such as legal, compliance, and risk executives.
  • Robust network including systems integrators, channel partners, and advisory entities influential in enterprise technology decisions in Saudi Arabia.
  • Self-disciplined pipeline management using CRM, honest forecasting, and multi-stage deal process handling without supervisory oversight.
  • Adoption of AI tools in selling processes for research, drafting, and follow-up, aligned with a company culture focused on AI-driven workflows.
  • Full professional proficiency in Arabic and English, including presentation and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in compliance, governance, cybersecurity, or related regulatory software sales.
  • Experience working with regulated industries such as finance, telecommunications, or healthcare where data privacy enforcement is prevalent.
  • Familiarity with government procurement systems such as Etimad is beneficial but not essential initially.

Additional Information

  • Based in Riyadh, frequent travel across Saudi Arabia and GCC is expected.
  • Compensation includes a competitive base salary, commission, and equity stake in an early-stage firm.
  • The hiring process includes interviews with the CEO and COO, a practical session discussing previous deals and pipeline development, and reference checks.
  • Saudi nationality is a strict requirement; however, hiring is meritocratic with accommodations provided upon request during the recruitment process.
