Job summary
Working under close supervision, the selected candidate will learn how to prepare food, heat and finish cooked items, serve customers, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
Key duties
- Assist with preparing food items according to operational needs.
- Heat and complete cooking tasks for menu items as directed.
- Serve food to customers in a secure facility cafeteria setting.
- Clean workspaces, utensils, dishes, silverware, and related equipment.
Food service progression plan
The department provides a progression plan for food service staff, with opportunities for promotion and added compensation at the 6-month and 18-month marks of employment.
