What you'll do
- Prepare and portion meals by following recipes, production records, and food safety standards.
- Serve food to students, employees, and visitors in a polite and professional way.
- Keep the kitchen, serving line, and dining support areas clean and safe throughout the shift.
- Restock salad bars, milk coolers, and serving stations as needed.
- Store food correctly, rotate inventory, and follow sanitation procedures.
- Help receive deliveries and organize supplies and inventory.
- Sweep, mop, and handle garbage removal when required.
- Follow all applicable local, state, federal, and company health and safety rules.
- Support teammates, cover shifts when needed, and take on other duties that help the kitchen run smoothly.
- Complete reports and finish assigned tasks within deadlines.

Working conditions
The role requires standing for a full shift, along with regular bending, reaching, walking, and frequent use of the hands. You may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The environment can be moderately noisy, and work is often fast-paced with regular movement. The schedule is full time, Monday through Friday, with occasional longer weeks. Participation in company events or meetings may also be required.
