About the Opportunity
AdventHealth is seeking a Food Service Worker II to support a patient-centered, service-driven environment in Ocala, Florida. This role is part of a team that focuses on whole-person care and aims to create a positive experience for patients, café guests, and staff while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and safety.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time, day-shift position based onsite at 1500 SW 1ST AVE, Ocala, Florida 34471.
Key Duties
- Coordinate day-to-day food service activity across the café, patient meal services, and sanitation areas.
- Help with food and beverage preparation, including cold items, tray setup, and delivery of meals to patients.
- Adjust work priorities as needed throughout the day to keep operations running smoothly.
- Keep work areas orderly and ensure sanitation and safety practices are followed.
- Support compliance with health and cleanliness standards in all food service areas.
- Interact with patients and café customers to collect feedback, respond to concerns, and help improve satisfaction with food and service.
- Work closely with leadership and team members, including helping with onboarding and encouraging a cooperative, service-oriented culture.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience of 1 year or more in food service or cashiering is preferred.
