About the Role
AdventHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide II to support food service operations in Rome, Georgia. This role is part of a team committed to delivering compassionate service and contributing to the well-being of patients, guests, and the broader community. The position combines food preparation, customer interaction, sanitation, and day-to-day operational support in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Work Schedule and Location
This is a full-time, on-site position based at 501 Redmond Rd NW, Rome, GA 30165. The schedule may follow one of two day-shift patterns: two days per week from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a one-hour break and every other weekend, or 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with one weekday off and every other weekend off.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily food service activity across the café, patient dining, and sanitation areas to support prompt service, smooth operations, and a positive guest experience.
- Assist with food and beverage production tasks, including cold food prep, tray building, and delivering meals to patients while adapting to changing service demands.
- Help maintain safe and sanitary working conditions by keeping areas clean, organized, and aligned with health and food safety requirements.
- Interact with patients and café guests to collect feedback, address concerns, and improve satisfaction with food quality and service.
- Contribute to team performance through clear communication, support for onboarding, and close collaboration with leadership to maintain a service-oriented environment.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Comfort with basic math.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience in food service is preferred.
Certification
- Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) is preferred.
