Food Service Utility (Full and Part Time)

Position Summary

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in kitchen areas and ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeping and mopping floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Cleaning work tables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Removing trash and placing it in designated containers as well as steam cleaning or hosing out garbage cans.
• Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and workstations.
• Assisting with banquet tables and front of house setup.
• Loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
• Providing supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Adhering to sanitation and safety protocols.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Schedule & Location

The position is available at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) located at 231 West Boundary Street, Savannah, GA 31401. Work schedules vary with full and part time options; availability during weekends and evenings is required. Specific shift details will be provided during the interview.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15 to $17 per hour, with shift premiums for weekend and evening work. Employees may receive a referral bonus for recommending new hires. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Weekend and evening availability is mandatory.
