Position Overview
Neighbourly Pharmacy is inviting applications for a full-time Barista (Food Service Staff) to become part of our team at Starbucks (Pharmasave #416) located in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the welcoming face of Starbucks by creating positive experiences and preparing flawless beverages for each customer.
- Greet guests warmly, often being the first person they interact with to start their day.
- Deliver the distinctive Starbucks Experience via exceptional customer service, timely service, and high-quality products.
- Operate cash registers and manage cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Take customer orders and prepare food items adhering strictly to standardized recipes.
- Fulfill guest orders including coffees, pastries, and related items.
- Ensure adherence to food handling and sanitation guidelines to maintain safety and cleanliness.
- Keep the restaurant, kitchen, and dining areas clean, tidy, and well-organized.
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow Baristas to ensure the smooth functioning of daily operations and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- A passion for hospitality and providing outstanding guest experiences in a secure workplace.
- Starbucks prior experience is not mandatory but advantageous.
- Experience in handling cash and cashier duties is beneficial.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations is preferred.
- Proficiency using POS systems for order and payment processing.
- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility.
- Capability to manage fast-paced work settings while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong numerical skills for precise cash handling and order accuracy.
- Outstanding customer service aptitude with effective issue resolution skills.
- Time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks promptly.
- Food preparation experience and prior food service roles are a plus.
Work Schedule
- Full-time employment offering 32 to 40 hours per week.
- Operating hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Flexible availability for various shifts including day, opening, closing, and occasional weekends to meet operational needs.
