Food Safety Sanitor – Night Shift General Labor – Alberta, Canada

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and committed Food Safety Sanitor to join our nighttime team in Alberta. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining outstanding cleanliness and safety standards within food production operations, ensuring a sanitary environment that supports the delivery of quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute sanitation labor following the eight-step sanitation process while adhering to all food safety and company policies.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and management to guarantee compliance with sanitation protocols.
• Regularly handle heavy equipment and materials such as hoses, chemical containers, and sanitation gear.
• Wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, eye protection, aprons, boots, and face shields.
• Work safely around chemicals, ensuring proper PPE use during all tasks.
• Endure prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and crouching through the night shift.
• Follow lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures when applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support sanitation and safety.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors and take responsibility for individual performance.
• Strong focus on safety practices and meticulousness.
• Comfortable working under wide-ranging temperature conditions and physically demanding environments.

Work Environment

This job involves exposure to wet, hot, or cold conditions while wearing full PPE. Shifts may vary based on facility requirements.
