Food Preparation Helper

Role Overview

This full-time Food Preparation Helper position at The Uniques Tanzania is based onsite in Serengeti, with headquarters located in Arusha. The role involves preparing ingredients, assembling food items, and supporting cooking processes, all while adhering to established recipes and food safety protocols.

Daily Duties

• Clean and organize kitchen workstations efficiently.
• Operate basic kitchen appliances and tools correctly.
• Store and handle food products properly to maintain quality and safety.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth food service operations.
• Replenish kitchen supplies and assist with inventory management as needed.

Hygiene and Safety

Maintain strict hygiene standards and follow all safety regulations to create a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in food preparation and basic cooking methods.
• Experienced in food service and food & beverage operations.
• Professional and courteous with effective customer service abilities.
• Knowledgeable about food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety practices.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a high-paced setting.
• Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Relevant experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering services is advantageous.
• Possession of vocational certification in hospitality or culinary arts is a plus.
