Job description

Position Summary

The Food & Consumables Team Associate plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. The associate is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and stocking the food and consumables sections to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize and zone the department so that shelves, tables, and storage areas are orderly and products are correctly positioned.
  • Perform regular stock rotation and inspect items for expiration dates to ensure product freshness.
  • Verify that all merchandise is clearly signed and accurately priced.
  • Follow strict cold chain management protocols, including thermometer calibrations, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
  • Comply with procedures related to ordering, clearance sales, price adjustments, labeling, and product flagging.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $17.75.

Minimum Qualification

Candidates must be at least 16 years old to apply.
