Position Overview
The role of a Food & Beverage Service Expert (Dry) at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts involves more than just serving food and drinks; it focuses on creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Responsibilities include setting tables, communicating effectively with the kitchen team, interacting with and serving guests, as well as maintaining cleanliness of work areas and supplies. This position requires a proactive approach to enhance guest satisfaction throughout their meal.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Employees in this role spend long periods standing, walking, or sitting, often on uneven or slippery surfaces. The job involves handling menu information both visually and through reading. It requires physical activity such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Tasks include reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and stooping to perform essential duties.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- At least one year of related work experience in food and beverage service
- No supervisory experience required
- No specific licenses or certifications necessary
