About the Role
Crowne Plaza Geelong, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking guest-focused Food & Beverage Attendants to join its waterfront property in Geelong, Victoria. The hotel features modern accommodation, dining options, and flexible spaces for meetings, conferences, weddings, and private celebrations.
This role is suited to energetic hospitality professionals who enjoy creating memorable guest moments. Work may span the restaurant, bar, and meetings/events areas, and weekend availability is a must. The employer is open to casual, part-time, and full-time candidates.
Key Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly manner and create a welcoming dining experience through attentive service.
- Support breakfast, lunch, dinner, and event service across the venue.
- Build product knowledge of food and beverage offerings and continue learning through training.
- Take orders, deliver food and drinks, and handle guest requests promptly and professionally.
- Seat guests and provide efficient, polished service throughout the dining experience.
- Keep service stations, equipment, and guest-facing areas tidy, stocked, and orderly.
- Set up, maintain, and close down service areas in a clean, safe, and organised way.
- Assist with conferences, banquets, and special functions when needed.
- Work in line with food safety standards, RSA obligations, and workplace health and safety rules.
- Bring the property’s service philosophy to life through every guest interaction.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a comparable hospitality role in hotels, resorts, or similar venues.
- Strong interest in food, beverages, and delivering excellent guest experiences.
- Clear communication and interpersonal ability, with a warm and approachable manner.
- Availability for weekends and public holidays, plus flexibility for morning and evening shifts.
- Ability to stand for long periods and manage light to moderate lifting.
- Current Victoria RSA certification and valid Australian work rights.
- Positive attitude, commitment to quality, and willingness to learn.
