Overview
Join Miraval Resorts & Spas at Miraval The Red Sea in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, as a pivotal Food & Beverage Team Leader. This role is critical to upholding exceptional service standards and fostering a strong culture of operational excellence within the F&B outlets of a premium wellness destination. Miraval The Red Sea, part of the Hyatt portfolio and The Red Sea Project, embodies a luxury adults-only sanctuary promoting balanced, mindful living amid breathtaking marine surroundings.
Key Duties
- Drive and maintain Miraval’s high service and quality standards throughout the F&B outlets via audits, observations, and quality checks.
- Identify and address any deficiencies in service by collaborating with management to implement corrective measures.
- Promote a quality-first approach through daily coaching, ensuring all team members apply mindful service aligned with brand values.
- Support new colleague onboarding and ongoing training to embed operational procedures and Miraval’s unique service rituals.
- Lead on-the-job training to enhance guest engagement and operational preparedness, while maintaining detailed training records.
- Facilitate refresher sessions to sustain consistent high performance amongst the F&B team.
- Assist in day-to-day operations, particularly during peak hours, maintaining service flow and adhering to Miraval standards.
- Oversee cleanliness and readiness of in-room dining service areas as per guidelines.
- Work with the Assistant Outlet Manager to optimize workflow and swiftly resolve operational challenges.
- Engage with guests to deliver personalized, mindful experiences and manage feedback to identify service improvements.
- Handle guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring effective service recovery when required.
- Collaborate closely with departments including Culinary, Wellness, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Stewarding to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Contribute to resort-wide quality enhancement initiatives focused on service excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a luxury F&B environment.
- Fluency in Arabic and English to effectively lead team and interact with Arabic-speaking guests.
- Proven aptitude in training and coaching personnel.
- High emotional intelligence and professionalism in guest and team interactions.
- Strong eye for detail with proactive operational oversight.
- Capability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and expertise in service recovery.
