The Grace Westport Estate is a prestigious new hotel scheduled to open in Spring 2026 on Ireland's scenic Wild Atlantic Way, located in Westport, County Mayo. Our establishment prides itself on merging excellence with opportunity, offering a luxurious and refined hospitality experience.
Role Summary
We are looking for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team in a full-time, onsite capacity. This role supports the seamless daily operations across our food and beverage outlets, ensuring an exceptional guest service experience and maintaining high operational standards under the direction of the Assistant Manager. The position is hands-on and involves leadership of the service team while embodying our commitment to premium hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive and personalized service aligned with luxury quality standards, promptly addressing guest requests and concerns, and escalating to management when necessary.
- Oversee the dining area, maintaining guest satisfaction and consistent service delivery throughout shifts.
- Manage daily restaurant preparations such as setup, table assignments, and readiness for service.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Maintain the highest standards for cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation within dining and service areas.
- Enforce adherence to daily operational checklists, standard operating procedures, and closing protocols.
- Supervise and inspire front-of-house personnel including servers, hosts, and food runners.
- Conduct pre-service briefings highlighting daily specials, menu updates, and service priorities.
- Assist the Assistant Manager with staff scheduling, onboarding new members, and providing performance feedback.
- Help monitor inventory levels for service items such as linens and consumables, reporting any shortages or wastage to management to aid cost control.
- Support cash handling procedures, billing accuracy, and Point of Sale system operations throughout service hours.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, ingredient details, and beverage pairings to enhance guest experience.
- Promote menu specials and make pairing recommendations to guests.
- Contribute to team training efforts to keep service staff well-informed and confident in menu delivery.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen protocols, and safety regulations, maintaining detailed records of operational and health and safety standards.
Required Experience and Skills
- Between 1 to 2 years experience in a supervisory or senior role within luxury or fine dining food and beverage settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Proven leadership skills demonstrated by leading by example in a fast-paced, team-centered workplace.
- Comfortable with POS technologies, reservation systems, and basic operational reporting.
- Comprehensive understanding of food and beverage functions; knowledge of wines is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
