Role Overview

The Food & Beverage Order Taker is crucial to the smooth operation of room service, handling order intake and processing efficiently and accurately. This role requires full coordination of service requests related to room service, ensuring guests receive informative assistance on menu selections including knowledge of beverages, promotions, and preparation methods. Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the order taking and placement procedure directly.
• Coordinate all requirements related to room service deliveries.
• Provide guests with helpful and detailed guidance on menu options.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of beverage lists, ongoing promotions, menu items, and their preparation.
• Adhere rigorously to food safety and sanitation policies during all food and beverage handling.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in order taking or a similar customer service role, ideally in a luxury hotel environment.
• Outstanding communication skills coupled with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment, ensuring precision and accuracy.
• Extensive understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu details, ingredients, and preparation techniques.
• Strong organizational ability with meticulous attention to detail.
