Position Summary
The Food and Beverage Coordinator provides day-to-day support to the Food and Beverage Division and the Director of Food and Beverage. The role suits someone who can work well on their own as well as within a team, understands floor operations, brings a positive attitude, and can manage multiple tasks while handling a broad range of food and beverage administration duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strong ambassador for Capella’s culture and service standards by setting an example for the team.
- Provide routine administrative and office support to the Director of Food and Beverage and the wider Food and Beverage team.
- Manage guest and VIP enquiries and reservations through email, telephone, and face-to-face interactions.
- Ensure all communication directed to the Director of Food and Beverage is handled and answered within the required turnaround times.
- Organise business travel plans and coordinate related requirements as needed.
- Stay informed about Sydney’s local culture, heritage attractions, and current trends so guests can receive useful recommendations and directions.
- Address guest complaints and service issues, maintain accurate records of feedback in the relevant system, and work toward quick resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Log issues, damage, and equipment breakdowns in the workplace and hotel areas to help maintain smooth operations and defect-free facilities.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should bring prior experience in a similar position, along with strong administrative capability and attention to detail. Good time management, task prioritisation, clear written and spoken English, and confidence using common computer programs are important. Familiarity with InDesign, Canva, Micros, and SevenRooms will be advantageous. Applicants must also have the legal right to work in Australia.
