Job description
About the property
Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour sits in one of Sydney’s most recognisable waterfront locations, overlooking Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge. The property combines premium hotel apartments with long-stay residential-style living, allowing the team to deliver a highly personalised guest journey. Its food and beverage offering includes two distinctive venues: Flaminia, a modern Italian restaurant created with the Pilu team, and Acapulco ElVista, a lively Latin-inspired bar concept developed with the Maybe Sammy group. The hotel also hosts a wide range of meetings and events, from corporate functions to harbourside weddings.
Role purpose
Flaminia is seeking experienced waitstaff to join a busy service team at its newly opened Italian seafood restaurant. The venue focuses on refined coastal Italian dining inspired by Italy’s port cities, with dishes such as crudo, pasta, and grilled seafood, all served in a high-volume environment with sweeping harbour views.
What you will do
- Welcome guests warmly, explain the menu, suggest dishes and wines, and take orders while carefully accommodating dietary needs.
- Deliver refined table service, including pouring wine, presenting dishes, and checking in proactively throughout the meal.
- Help maintain smooth operations during busy service periods, work closely with colleagues, and contribute to an excellent guest experience.
Experience and skills
- Bring 2 to 3 years of experience in upscale dining venues, along with solid wine knowledge and the ability to increase sales through thoughtful recommendations.
- Communicate well, stay composed in a busy environment, and be available to work evenings, weekends, and events.
- Hold a valid RSA certificate, maintain a polished professional presentation, and reflect the Accor Heartist values.
Accor benefits
- ALL Heartist Membership, offering discounted accommodation and food and beverage rates around the world.
- Discounts for family and friends across selected accommodation, services, and events.
- Participation in the Accor Live Limitless loyalty program, where worldwide stays can earn status and reward points.
- Access to learning and development through Accor Academy and Typsy.
- The opportunity to connect with a global network of more than 300,000 Accor professionals.
- Career growth possibilities across Accor’s worldwide hotel network, including more than 400 hotels in the Pacific and over 5,000 properties in 110 countries.
