Job description
Role Overview
The Food and Beverage Attendant is responsible for handling customer payments, maintaining cleanliness, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring excellent guest service in a dynamic environment.
Key Duties
- Processes sales transactions, including collecting receipts, totaling sales on the register, accepting payments, and providing correct change.
- Maintains cash records accurately and ensures the work area remains clean and organized.
- Prepares food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold dishes and beverages.
- Brews coffee, prepares hot water for tea, and replenishes beverage dispensers with juices and soft drinks.
- Sets tables for guests, assists with seating, records orders, and communicates them to the kitchen.
- Serves food and beverages, including alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, to patrons.
Employment Requirements and Conditions
- Must provide Direct Deposit information and Social Security Card upon employment.
- Meets all qualification, eligibility, and background criteria for the role.
- A probationary period of one year may apply.
- Job requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching, and walking, as well as lifting and moving items up to 40 pounds.
- An occasional driving duty is part of the role; candidates must be willing to obtain and keep a valid USAREUR driver’s license and a Temporary Motorcycle Permit (TMP) license.
Qualifications
- Applicants must meet state or local legal age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages at appointment time.
- Ability to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds confidently.
- Basic math skills are necessary for calculating customer bills and managing inventory.
- Experience and skill in preparing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.
- Resumes should be concise (two pages or less) and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, abilities, and knowledge.
Additional Information
- The position covers the local commuting area, defined as within 100 km (60 miles) of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
