Job description
About the employer
Crieff Hydro is a family-owned and family-run hospitality business that has been welcoming guests since 1868. The group operates seven hotels across three beautiful Scottish locations, each offering great food and drinks, comfortable accommodation, and plenty of activities for guests of all ages.
The business aims to create an inclusive workplace where people feel respected, listened to, and appreciated. The team culture is built around being creative, curious, thoughtful, positive, and authentic.
About the location
Crieff Hydro Hotel is located in Perthshire, Scotland, within a 900-acre estate. It has a long history of hosting families for more than 150 years and includes 215 hotel bedrooms, 55 self-catering lodges, 6 restaurants, and more than 60 on-site attractions such as a spa, leisure centre, horse-riding centre, and Action Glen.
About the role
This position sits within the food and beverage team and is suited to someone who enjoys a busy, customer-facing hospitality environment. The work can be fast-paced and high-volume, whether supporting banqueting and events or helping in restaurants and bars.
The restaurant areas are lively and popular for coffee, cake, soup, sandwiches, and casual meetings with friends. The role is especially active during lunch and dinner service, with duties focused on guest service, payment handling, table clearing, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
This is a 32-hour per week contract, and overtime may be available depending on business requirements and individual availability.

Benefits
- Hourly pay of up to £12.71, plus a share of tips, with an estimated value of £3,000 per year for full-time team members.
- Potential live-in accommodation on site, with utilities included. Most accommodation is single occupancy and includes an ensuite bathroom, although this cannot be guaranteed. The accommodation charge follows HMRC guidelines and can be discussed during the interview.
- 30% discount on food, drinks, and retail purchases, along with reduced leisure membership rates and lower prices for hotel activities.
- Discounted hotel stays across the group from £30 per night for team members.
- Referral rewards of £250 to £500 for successful introductions of team members or managers.
- £5 reward for positive guest mentions in reviews.
- A supportive, friendly work environment with a strong emphasis on wellbeing.
- Opportunities to progress across multiple hotels, departments, and roles.
- Access to confidential wellbeing support 24/7 through the Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme for help with mental health, finances, and more.
