About the Role

Join us at Umweltbildungsort Gertrudenhof e.V. where flowers, plants, and creative floral designs are the heart of our work! As a Florist on Gertrudenhof, you will craft custom bouquets tailored to customer preferences and design lovingly planted arrangements for our farmers' market. Key seasonal events such as Easter, Mother's Day, and Christmas become your opportunities to shine with exceptional creations.

Special commissions for weddings, funerals, and unique occasions also fall under your skill set. You will lead assistants and ensure flawless execution, especially during weddings. Acting as the primary contact in our courtyard, you provide expert advice and facilitate the sale of bedding and balcony plants.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage orders for cut flowers and materials, ensuring freshness and overall inviting floral displays.
• Assist creatively in seasonal site transitions and implement decoration ideas with attention to detail.
• Supervise helpers, coordinating smooth operations for special events, particularly weddings.
• Serve as the first point of contact for plant sales and customer consultation on site.

Candidate Profile

• Completed professional training in floristry with demonstrable experience and expertise.
• Independent, organized work approach with a passion for flowers that is evident in your work.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enjoying direct customer interaction with friendliness and respect.
• Reliable team player, proactive and dependable under pressure, especially during peak seasons like Easter, Mother’s Day, and Christmas.
• Willingness to regularly work on weekends, when activity is at its highest on the farm.
• Enthusiasm for the concept of the experience farm, contributing creativity to maintaining the farm’s colorful bloom.
