About the Role
Jovie is seeking compassionate and flexible Backup Nannies to provide in-home childcare services across multiple families in the San Francisco Bay Area including San Mateo, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Poway, San Jose, and San Francisco. This role is designed for individuals looking for flexible hours, such as retired educators, teaching professionals wanting a smaller setting, or experienced childcare providers seeking part-time work adaptable around other commitments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive care for children at families' homes, focusing on infants and toddlers with the highest need for those under 2 years old.
- Do not perform transportation duties; care responsibilities are home-based only.
- Maintain cleanliness limited to tidying up after activities or meals involving the children.
- Create a safe environment and facilitate age-appropriate interactive activities that promote development and engagement.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging from $23 to $26.50.

Candidate Profile
- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different homes in the designated area.
- Availability to work on any three or more weekdays for shifts lasting 6 to 8 hours between 7 AM and 7 PM.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, friendly demeanor toward families and supervisors.
