About the Position
This role is based in Bodmin, Cornwall, and is a permanent position offering a weekly work schedule of 37 hours, with flexibility to consider part-time arrangements dependent on business requirements. The starting annual salary is £27,204 on Scale D, which increases yearly to a maximum of £29,859.
Key Responsibilities
You will be a vital part of the Fleet Services Team and act as the primary point of contact for our vehicle workshops. Your role includes handling enquiries from staff and officers at all levels with professionalism and confidentiality, managing front-of-house reception duties, and overseeing logistics.
Additionally, you will make sure that essential fleet technical supplies and consumables are stocked promptly and cost-effectively to reduce vehicle downtime. All tasks must align with financial policies, procedures, and auditing standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess valid motor vehicle knowledge appropriate to this role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills, fulfilling customer needs effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Good problem-solving skills, including making operational decisions such as assigning technician tasks, following up on orders, and deciding on appropriate repairs.
- Familiarity with maintaining accurate data records in management systems.
