Opportunity Overview
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) invites applications for a fixed-term (4 months) medical position at ST3 level in Diabetes and Endocrinology, based at Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. The anticipated start date is October 2026. This role involves close collaboration with Diabetes and Endocrinology consultants, managing patients admitted under consultant care and supporting wards as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily patient reviews in designated and additional wards under Diabetes and Endocrinology consultancy.
- Participate in medical on-call rota, managing acutely ill medical patients admitted through Accident & Emergency and Acute Medical Unit under consultant supervision.
- Maintain personal health and safety as well as that of colleagues, patients, and visitors, complying with statutory and clinical governance obligations.
