Fixed Income Director, Head

Role Overview

This is a senior fixed income leadership position within a global asset management environment. The role combines individual contribution with team oversight and is responsible for shaping and delivering the long-term investment approach for the fixed income portfolio, including allocation decisions, portfolio design, and continuous performance oversight.

What You Will Do

• Help define investment direction, prepare annual business plans, and support the development and implementation of related policies.
• Manage asset allocation, bond dealing, hedging activity, and repo / reverse repo transactions to support portfolio liquidity management.
• Track international fixed income markets, assess current developments, and provide clear, practical insights to ALCO and senior leadership.
• Monitor credit risk exposure, design hedging approaches, and ensure activities remain aligned with applicable regulatory obligations.
• Spot investment opportunities and perform detailed due diligence on prospective transactions.
• Promote coordination and value creation across associated companies and subsidiaries.
• Develop and sustain productive working relationships with internal teams as well as external partners such as banks and financial institutions.
• Guide the fixed income team in transaction execution, portfolio analysis, and reporting while maintaining high standards of efficiency and integrity.

Requirements

• A university-level qualification in Finance, Economics, Banking, or a closely related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in financial services or banking, with substantial direct involvement in fixed income portfolio management.
• Solid understanding of fixed income instruments, portfolio risk and return assessment, and methods used to reduce risk.
• Strong capability in structuring, negotiating, and supervising fixed income transactions.
• Experience leading teams and developing people to perform at a high level.
• CFA or an equivalent professional qualification is considered an advantage.
