Fitness Attendant

Job Overview

Woodfield Country Club is looking for a personable and energetic Fitness Attendant to join their team in Boca Raton, FL. The role entails overseeing the cardio area and reception desk, warmly welcoming members, assisting with equipment usage, and ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the fitness space. Additionally, the attendant will contribute to the morning operation of the "Café Blendz" food and beverage outlet by preparing smoothies, serving bagels and coffee, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Work Schedule

• Part-time shifts available
• Weekends availability required
• Shift timings: 5/6AM to 1PM and 1PM to 8PM
• Flexible scheduling options offered

Key Responsibilities

• Clean fitness equipment using antibacterial products between member usage to ensure hygiene
• Support front desk activities including towel distribution and locker room inspections
• Prepare café for daily opening by arranging coffee, bagels/bread, and fruit for members
• Regularly inspect all fitness equipment and café areas for cleanliness, proper sanitization, and working conditions
• Maintain food safety standards and oversee café cleanliness
• Coordinate with purchasing to manage inventory in response to demand fluctuations (e.g., holidays, spring break)
• Manage inventory storage, item preparation, and assistance to staff serving refreshments in the café
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Required Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on excellent customer service
• Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends
• Interest or background in fitness is preferred
• Previous related experience is advantageous
