Job description
Role Overview
As a Fire Safety Officer, you will help maintain a safe and compliant hotel environment while contributing to the welcoming service culture the brand is known for. The position focuses on protecting guests, team members, and property through active fire safety oversight, risk control, and compliance support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Security Manager in coordinating fire safety and security compliance across the assigned areas of the hotel.
- Apply safety and risk-control procedures that help reduce guest complaints and civil claims connected to safety issues.
- Carry out routine audits, fire safety inspections, and accident reviews to spot hazards, document observations, and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
- Deliver fire safety and compliance training to managers and team members, while keeping training documentation accurate and up to date.
- Work with Facilities to check fire detection and sprinkler systems, complete daily fire patrols, and escalate any defects or concerns.
- Support Facilities in tracking contractor activity so that all work on site follows fire safety requirements.
