Role Overview

As a Demi Chef de Partie specializing in pastry at The Plaza Doha LXR Hotels & Resorts, you will deliver culinary excellence through the preparation and presentation of a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked products. Your role is central to creating delightful moments for guests by applying creativity, precision, and passion in your craft.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, decorate, and present consistent and superior quality pastries and baked goods adhering to recipes and standards.
• Provide leadership and support to junior pastry team members, including Commis Chefs, to sustain efficient operations especially when senior pastry chefs are unavailable.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic pastry workstation and equipment, ensuring zero cross-contamination.
• Manage ingredient quality, ensure proper storage, and control stock rotation in line with food safety regulations.
• Strictly adhere to and promote compliance with established health, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues.
• Deliver exceptional pastry service by accommodating guest requests and special dietary needs promptly and with professionalism.
• Contribute to menu execution by preparing seasonal desserts, catering for special events, and enhancing buffet presentations with creative innovations, ensuring brand consistency.
