Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position as Chef De Partie involves managing a dedicated kitchen section with responsibilities including food preparation, cooking, and careful plating that adheres to established recipes and presentation norms. The Chef De Partie supervises commis chefs, ensures consistency and quality of dishes, upholds hygiene and safety regulations, and aids in inventory and stock rotation management. Collaboration with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu rollout and new dish innovation is expected, alongside training junior staff, overseeing portion control, and minimizing food wastage. The work environment demands flexibility to operate during busy service hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Proficient culinary abilities in food preparation, cooking, and plating within a specific kitchen section.
- Experience in upholding kitchen cleanliness, food safety procedures, and appropriate storage methods.
- Skill in supervising and mentoring junior kitchen personnel, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to handle service demands efficiently.
- Previous Chef De Partie experience or related roles in restaurants, hotels, or catering services.
- Formal culinary education or professional kitchen training is advantageous.
- Familiarity with international/regional cuisines with eagerness to learn new culinary techniques.
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a dynamic hospitality setting.
- Professionalism, dependability, and dedication to high standards of food quality.
