Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this leadership position oversees the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) division. The role entails managing a team dedicated to delivering robust financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and actionable business insights that underpin executive decision-making. This position also involves driving enhanced financial capabilities organization-wide and supporting system implementation projects related to finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team to enhance skills in stakeholder engagement, reporting, and business analysis.
  • Manage the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with strategic goals.
  • Produce precise and timely financial reports and analyses that offer insightful performance perspectives for decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with operational leaders to interpret financial drivers, assess performance metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Handle month-end reporting ensuring accuracy, compliance, and meaningful business insights.
  • Track financial performance against budgets and forecasts to detect trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Promote ongoing enhancements in finance processes, systems, and reporting methods.
  • Guide the development and refinement of financial reporting tools, inclusive of Power BI dashboards and analytics.
  • Support finance system implementation and optimization to uphold planning models, reporting frameworks, and data integrity.
  • Establish governance policies and standards to ensure financial data consistency, transparency, and quality.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related fields.
  • Possession of CA or CPA credentials is highly advantageous.
  • Extensive experience leading FP&A functions within large, multifaceted organizations.
  • Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated skill in collaborating with senior management and delivering strategic financial counsel.
  • Experience in steering finance digital transformations, improving reporting frameworks, or participating in finance systems implementations.
  • Advanced capabilities with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and enterprise planning systems like Oracle EPM.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management aptitude.
  • Leadership approach focused on people development and team coaching.

Additional Details

This role is offered initially as a 16-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension and conversion to a permanent position. It offers a platform to lead a skilled FP&A team while making a tangible impact within a community-focused health environment.
