Job description

Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical FP&A professional who wants to actively shape financial steering and business performance. In this role, you will challenge existing ways of working, spot improvement opportunities, and help drive better results through data-led insights.

You will join the Controlling team with a focus on Financial Planning & Analysis and report directly to the Controlling Manager. The position plays a key part in financial planning and analysis for the Digital Business Unit and involves close collaboration with international stakeholders.

You will work in a modern environment using systems such as SAP, Workday, and Salesforce, and contribute within a Smart Work setup that combines flexibility with collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and further develop monthly and quarterly management reporting, including commentary and clear recommendations for action.
  • Carry out detailed variance analyses comparing actuals with budget and forecast, then translate findings into measures that improve results.
  • Take an active part in budgeting and rolling forecast processes, including scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Support management through business partnering by preparing decision-ready analyses and presentations.
  • Improve FP&A tools, KPIs, and dashboards used to monitor business unit performance.
  • Review revenue, cost, and margin trends and identify the main drivers behind business performance.
  • Contribute to long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Handle selected operational controlling topics such as commissions and invoice support as part of the broader control framework.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and other functions across international teams.

Requirements

  • A completed degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on Controlling, Finance, or FP&A, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance, preferably in an international setting.
  • Strong hands-on experience with financial planning activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and scenario building, along with solid knowledge of P&L analysis.
  • Good understanding of financial metrics, performance drivers, and business cases.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting under IFRS and HGB.
  • Experience working as a business partner with operational teams is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking, a proactive approach, and the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Excellent Excel skills and a strong interest in data, systems, and automation.
  • Experience with ERP and planning tools such as SAP and Workday is beneficial.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
