Role Overview

The Analyst position based in Mumbai requires handling various back-office and middle-office functions for financial institutions. Key duties involve managing client and product lifecycles including KYC, reference data, legal documentation, loans, reconciliation, settlements, and brokerage operations. The role entails extensive data processing, cataloging, system updates, report preparation in Excel, and external liaison to resolve operational queries through calls and emails.

Key Responsibilities

• Detect and escalate risks, promptly notifying clients of critical outstanding issues.
• Support trade lifecycle processes: trade confirmation matching, pre-settlement support, reconciliation between front and back office trade positions, report creation, and settlement of cash flows from trading events such as interest or premium payments.
• Manage syndicated loan operations and corporate action setup.
• Carry out capital markets operations beyond trade lifecycle, including reference data maintenance and regulatory reporting involving swaps data repository (SDR), KYC-AML compliance, and various reconciliations.
• Develop expertise across financial products including equity securities, derivatives, interest rate swaps, FX spot and options, futures, credit derivatives swaps, commodity derivatives, and fixed income instruments like corporate and treasury bonds.

Candidate Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months experience in investment banking operations, particularly in project, people, process, and client coordination.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Computer Applications; Master's degrees such as M.Com, MBA, or PGDM also accepted.
• Basic understanding of finance, trade lifecycle, investment banking, and derivatives concepts.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for data-driven insights.
• Proficient in planning, organization, and time management.
