About the Role
EY is looking for a Financial Due Diligence professional to support M&A and transaction advisory work in Bengaluru. The position focuses on evaluating acquisition targets, shaping transaction decisions with analysis, and working closely with clients and internal stakeholders across the deal lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Assess prospective merger and acquisition opportunities through detailed financial diligence.
- Support the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Develop long-term client relationships and provide practical strategic guidance.
- Carry out sector-focused research to spot market developments and opportunities.
- Apply AI-enabled methods and tools to strengthen due diligence quality and speed up decision-making.
- Use analytical and automation tools to make diligence work more efficient.
What We’re Looking For
- A CA or MBA qualification from a recognised institution.
- Relevant credentials in finance, investment banking, or mergers and acquisitions.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, accounting, valuation methods, and M&A due diligence processes.
- Ability to evaluate diligence adjustments and contribute across the full transaction lifecycle.
- Experience with data analysis using advanced Excel, Power Apps, and data visualisation/analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with third-party research and data sources such as S&P CapIQ, Factiva, and MergerMarket.
- Comfort using AI-based tools for prompt drafting, predictive analysis, and automated due diligence support.
- Knowledge of M&A regulations, compliance needs, and antitrust considerations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good negotiation, relationship-building, adaptability, critical thinking, organisation, and a proactive working style.
- Industry awareness, networking ability, and the capability to conduct detailed market research for acquisition strategy.
