Role overview
We are looking for a Financial Crimes Analyst II to support a bank’s BSA risk and compliance activities. This contract-to-hire opportunity is offered on a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working remotely. The position is available in Phoenix, AZ; Newark, DE; and Los Angeles, CA.
What you’ll do
- Support the BSA Risk Manager with periodic testing of internal controls tied to the bank’s BSA risk assessment program.
- Track, review, and escalate concerns related to BSA, AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act requirements using current compliance best practices.
- Contribute to the creation or revision of bank-wide policies and procedures covering BSA, AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act obligations.
- Serve as a coordination point across departments on BSA, AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act matters.
- Perform compliance monitoring, internal control risk assessments, and testing to help maintain an effective BSA control environment under the guidance of the BSA Risk Manager.
- Focus attention on the highest-risk areas affecting the organization.
- Conduct scheduled and recurring reviews of business processes and controls tied to the bank’s products and services, including geographic risk considerations, to identify compliance gaps and exposure.
- Assess compliance risks and suggest updates to policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen risk-based compliance oversight.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of BSA experience gained within a financial institution.

Compensation is described as a pay range that may change over time and may vary based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. The employer notes that the final amount may be higher or lower than the range stated at posting.

Salaried employees receive paid time off. Hourly employees do not receive PTO unless required by law, though hourly staff on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
