About the Role
Our client is looking for a Financial Analyst specializing in FP&A to join their team in a hybrid capacity based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role emphasizes analytics, research, reporting, and process enhancement for financial capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and develop financial models to assist CFO, finance leaders, and business stakeholders in decision-making, including customer and contract evaluation, asset deployment analysis, pricing strategy, liquidity planning, and merger and acquisition scenarios.
- Prepare precise charts, tables, and supplementary materials for monthly management reports and quarterly senior executive presentations.
- Manage the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and capital expenditure projections.
- Oversee maintenance and continuous improvement of integrated financial models and related schedules.
- Perform variance analysis comparing budget, forecasts, and prior periods to identify performance trends for leadership insights.
- Reconcile data sources against accounting and operational systems, investigate discrepancies, and maintain documentation of adjustments.
- Document critical processes, enhance reporting tools and controls, and promote operational efficiencies.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 and 5 years of relevant experience in roles such as full-time employment, internships, consulting assignments, academic projects, public accounting, or corporate finance; exceptional recent graduates with strong analytical skills will also be considered.
- Experience in equity research or similar financial analysis fields is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented approach with a solid understanding of data sourcing, formula logic, and the underpinnings of financial reporting and recommendations.
- Strong quantitative aptitude along with familiarity with accounting standards and financial statement analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, SQL, ERP software, or financial modeling techniques is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to effectively interact with senior leadership.
