Role Overview

The Financial Accountant will handle the preparation and review of management accounts and financial statements, ensuring accuracy in ledger entries and maintaining quality in financial reporting for the business and its managed funds. Daily duties include account reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures, and coordinating with auditors and external service partners.

Additional responsibilities comprise generating reports for board meetings, assisting with regulatory and tax submissions, and contributing to finance process enhancements. The position is based in Dublin with hybrid work options, enabling a blend of remote and on-site collaboration.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in finance and accounting principles, particularly in producing and analyzing financial statements according to relevant standards.
  • Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems capable of generating accurate and prompt reports.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, comfortable handling numerical data, conducting variance assessments, and resolving issues efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional accounting credentials such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are preferred; background in financial services or asset management is advantageous.
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey financial data clearly to colleagues without finance backgrounds.
  • Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office; familiarity with report automation or data visualization tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a hybrid context, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a focus on continuous improvement.
