About the Role

An established multinational insurance company located in Dublin is searching for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This position involves supporting the creation and delivery of accurate and punctual group, statutory, and regulatory financial reports. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior finance executives to coordinate quarterly financial and regulatory reporting activities while ensuring compliance with relevant reporting frameworks and regulatory standards.

Key Duties

  • Oversee the preparation and review process of quarterly financial statements and management reporting packages.
  • Facilitate the submission of quarterly regulatory reports, including Solvency-related returns as applicable.
  • Assist in the compilation and issuance of annual statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Manage liquidity and cash flow activities, including supervising banking operations.
  • Support corporate tax reporting and the preparation of returns.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to processes, controls, and reporting efficiency within the Finance department.
  • Engage in departmental and organizational projects aimed at improving workflow and operational performance.
  • Provide assistance with additional finance projects and other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Accountant with recognized certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
  • Background in financial and regulatory reporting within insurance, financial services, or comparable regulated sectors.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus, though not strictly required.
  • Familiarity with SAP reporting tools or similar financial software systems is advantageous.
  • Proven competency in preparing financial statements compliant with IFRS is desirable.
