Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Finance Manager to supervise financial accounting, statutory reporting, financial controls, and ensure adherence to IFRS standards for a leading client based in Dubai, UAE. This contract position initially spans 6 months and may be extended depending on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive accounting functions ensuring financial records are accurate and reliable.
- Prepare financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
- Lead the processes for month-end and year-end closing, guaranteeing timely and precise reports.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal financial reporting obligations.
- Coordinate with both internal and external auditors to fulfill audit requirements efficiently.
- Establish, enforce, and monitor robust financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with business units to provide financial insights supporting informed decisions.
- Analyse financial results, recognize patterns, and suggest enhancements to business performance.
- Champion ongoing improvements to finance procedures and reporting efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and other related financial duties.
- Foster effective relationships with key organizational stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferred professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CA, or CPA.
- Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager or equivalent role with hands-on accounting expertise.
- Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong background in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, interpersonal communication, and collaboration across diverse functions.
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
