About Digify
Digify is a cloud document security and data room platform that helps businesses control, safeguard, and monitor critical files after they are shared. It is used to protect confidential materials for fundraising and due diligence, secure intellectual property, and keep sensitive communications protected.
The product serves customers in 138 countries and has over 700,000 users globally.
Role Overview
Digify is looking for a seasoned Finance Lead to manage and coordinate the finance function on a part-time basis. The position is set at 24 hours per week and is intended for someone who can provide strong oversight, accurate reporting, and practical financial guidance.
You will work with part-time accountants and outside accounting partners, focusing on review, financial control, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement. This is a good fit for an experienced finance professional who wants ownership, flexibility, and the chance to support a growing SaaS company.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine monthly financial reports prepared by external accounting firms in Singapore and the US.
- Check that financial statements and supporting schedules are complete, accurate, and consistent.
- Spot issues, coordinate resolution, and follow through with the relevant stakeholders.
- Keep the monthly close and reporting cycle organized and on track.
- Own routine finance decisions such as expense approvals, refunds, write-offs, payment-related calls, and handling overdue payments.
- Apply company policy consistently and use sound judgment in financial decisions.
- Serve as the main link between internal accounting support, external providers, and management.
- Run monthly finance review discussions and ensure action items are completed promptly.
- Share clear, concise financial updates and insights with the CEO and leadership team.
- Improve finance processes, internal controls, and the clarity of reporting.
- Advise on accounting treatment for complex transactions.
- Help ensure the business is prepared for audits, tax submissions, and due diligence exercises.
- Review finance workflows across internal and external teams to find opportunities for better efficiency and clearer ownership.
- Assess outsourced finance work and identify where responsibilities can be brought in-house in a sustainable and efficient way.
- Look for ways to automate and simplify recurring finance tasks.
- Keep process improvements practical and lean for a small team.
- Monitor cash flow across entities and maintain strong visibility over liquidity.
- Flag risks early and ensure prompt action is taken.
- Assist with investor requests by supplying relevant data and explanations when needed.
- Coordinate with external advisors as required.
- Work through a structured transition period, learning current processes and decision-making approaches from the Corporate Lead before taking full ownership of operational finance and oversight.
Working Style
This is a part-time role of 24 hours per week, with a flexible Monday-to-Friday schedule during working hours. The role calls for a high degree of ownership, autonomy, and hands-on involvement in a lean environment.
Requirements
- A degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including work in roles such as Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Lead, Head of Finance, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
- The ability to independently run a finance function and deliver timely, accurate, and dependable reporting.
- Experience reviewing monthly financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and key controls.
- Experience working with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, banks, corporate secretarial firms, and accounting service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including the capacity to diagnose issues, interpret financial performance, and recommend practical actions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working directly with senior leadership.
- A well-organized, proactive approach and comfort working in a lean, hands-on setup.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with remote and part-time colleagues.
Preferred Experience
- Background in a SaaS, technology, software, or subscription-based business.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting and consolidated group reporting.
- Working knowledge of Singapore accounting regulations and practices.
- Familiarity with US accounting environments is beneficial.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and management reporting.
- Experience improving finance processes, controls, and reporting structures.
- Comfort using AI and modern software tools to boost productivity and efficiency.
Additional Information
The role is intended for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable with ownership, judgment-based decisions, and working across both internal and external teams in a lean environment.
