Role overview

This contract opportunity in Singapore is for a Finance Business Partner who will work closely with business leaders across the APAC region. The role focuses on shaping financial plans, building budgets and forecasts, and contributing to strategic decisions as a dependable advisor to senior stakeholders.

The position is centered on turning financial data into practical guidance that supports growth, better operating performance, and sound investment choices.

Key responsibilities

  • Work alongside leaders from different functions to create financial strategies that support business and organizational goals.
  • Own the annual budget cycle, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
  • Analyze financial results, assess business cases, and provide recommendations for strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Track performance using variance analysis, KPI reporting, and management dashboards.
  • Partner with Procurement, Marketing, Public Relations, and Operations teams to manage spend effectively and strengthen financial governance.
  • Lead expense control efforts and identify opportunities to reduce costs without limiting business growth.
  • Build financial models to assess new opportunities, operating improvements, and allocation of resources.
  • Support senior leadership by preparing presentations, board packs, and management reports.
  • Improve finance workflows through automation, business intelligence tools, and data analytics.
  • Maintain adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and governance requirements.
  • Create effective working relationships across regional and global teams to keep financial priorities aligned and executed well.

Preferred qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • About 7–10+ years of experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, corporate finance, or strategic finance.
  • Background in supporting regional or global business functions in multinational organizations is desirable.
  • Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience working with Marketing, Procurement, Operations, or other corporate functions is a strong plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise; exposure to business intelligence and ERP platforms is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Capability to influence senior leaders and convert financial insights into clear business actions.
  • Strong analytical judgment, commercial thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, matrixed, and multicultural environments.
